Attock

Attock formerly Campbellpur is a city located in the northern border of the Punjab province of Pakistan and the headquarters of Attock District.

    Allama Professor Qazi Muhammad Zahid-ul-Husaini (1913-1997) Attock City • Maulana Zahid-ul-Husaini passed middle school in 1928 from Shamasabad Attock. In 1930 he went to Mazahir-ul-Uloum Saharanpur’. He joined Deoband in 1932 for ‘Daura-e-Hadith. Qazi Sb made Bait to Hazrat Hussain Ahmad Madni in 1936. After death of Hazrat Madni in 1957 Hazrat Zahid-ul-Husaini started visiting Hazrat Ahmad Ali Lahori more frequently. In 1962 Hazrat Lahori awarded him ‘Khilafat’ • After completing his studies at Daarul-Uloum-Deoband, Qazi Zahid-ul-Husaini started ‘Madrasah Muhammadia’ in his native village Shamsabaad.In 1941 ‘Imam-ul-Adab’ Maulana Aaizaz Ali instructed him to go to Dalwaal (Chakwal) which had influential Qadiani community. • In 1949 Qazi Zahid-ul-Husaini became Khateeb of Jamia Masjid Attock. During this period, he also taught ‘Bukhari Shareef’ and ‘Tirmizi Shareef’ at Akora Khattak • In 1951, he joined Attock College as Professor of Arabic / Islamiat and laid the foundations of ‘Madina Masjid’ Attock City. He retired in 1972 .He wrote 20 books on Quranic subjects. • He gave Darse Quran for 28 years (1964 to 1992) in Shamsabad, Dalwaal, Abbottabad, Kohat, Tarbela, Nowshera, Sanjwal, Peshawar, Lawrencepur,Kamra and Wah Cantt. These comprehensive Quranic lessons have been compiled in 28 volumes. • In 1997 Qazi Zahid-ul-Husaini passed away. He is survived by 3 sons; Arshad -ul- Husain, Rashid–ul-Husaini and Ibrahim Saqib-ul-Husaini
